Building needs improvement

food options

Our room’s air conditioning was malfunctioning, with no air blowing out. The maintenance staff told us it was set to the standard 23 degrees, but we were puzzled why the device allowed settings below 23 degrees if it couldn’t maintain them. The distance from check-in to our room was quite long, which was difficult as we were traveling with a baby, his wagon, and large luggage. We were assigned to the third floor of Building 3, and the only elevator was out of service due to maintenance. When we asked for a different room with an elevator, we were offered an old room with two small beds far apart, which was not suitable for sleeping with a baby.

Very Good

We had a very good time at Fiesta Resort and the staff was really friendly and helpful. The food was very good and varied.

The rooms were quite noisy, the door like cardboard couldn't keep us away from the noise in the corridor. The noise from the pipes could also be heard as well as the next door neighbours. We would have liked to see more information on the screens displayed about the different activities of the day.

They could be one of the best if they make a couple a couple of changes.

98% of the staff was awesome and very helpful. It was cleaning done on the regular. The restaurants were great as well. The spa was also affordable and they were good at there job. And plenty of pool space was available

The wild dirty dog walking the property begging for food. The squirrels hopping onto tables while eating. Some staff showed favoritism at the bar towards the Spanish that were there. The tub wouldn’t drain properly. All of the entertainment was only in Spanish. There wasn’t many that spoke good enough English to understand what we were saying. The variety of food at the buffet needs allot of work I just ate the French toast and fruit a majority of the breakfasts. They bar tenders were serving all the Spanish their drinks poolside, but never once offered it to us and we were premium visitors as well.

I liked that is closed and don’t have to drive so many hours

Good, you don’t have many options of restaurants, I reserved a family suite and I got a conventional room, the air conditioner didn’t work as well.

Fun visit and awesome staff

The pools were really nice and the staff were all so friendly and accommodating. I would recommend the premium package as you were able to get a seated breakfast and lunch, not just the buffet, and your own private pool, snack bar and service.

The rooms need a little TLC but were clean and comfortable. The food was average and they did not have the lobster upgrade at both of the restaurants we went to.

Nice option for families

Great food and coctails. Comforable room.

There could be more personnel at the restaurant. Service was slow. Compared to previous visits, coctails had fewer alcohol and there was not plenty of options at the restaurant. Still good food.

The food was great, there were a variety of options everyday. It wasn’t just a repeat of the same things everyday. They also have other restaurants with different options, just be sure to make a reservation ahead of time since they do book fast.

I did not like that we had to walk around the building for the food, there were multiple entryways but they had you only use one. There was an adult only pool, which was great, but the bar next to it, was a bar that you had to sit at and couldn’t take your drinks to the pool, but the other pool with kids had alcohol that did allow you to drink at the pool. I thought this was strange.

A great birthday weekend

This is the third time I`ve stayed at this hotel. The last time was two years ago when the hotel was undergoing updates and everything was operating at about 50% - I wasn`t happy, This time however, everything was operating at 100%. The first thing I noticed is that a lot of the staff can speak very good English. I`m British but live in Costa Rica so can speak both languages, however, it`s nice to know if somebody else can`t speak Spanish, they can communicate very easily in English. The service from the staff in the restaurants and bars was very good. They were very attentive and happy to help. There were lots of pool activities although I didn`t take part and there was a very good happy atmosphere. The hotel caters mainly for Costa Rican people food-wise, but there was a good selection of food. Lots of Costa Ricans visit this hotel as it`s the closest all-inclusive hotel to San Jose and the surrounding areas. The bedroom was comfortable and had everything we needed including a hairdryer, iron, and a safe in the room. The only thing that was missing was somewhere to dry our wet clothes. I mentioned this last time I stayed and was told that there was a line in the bathroom for this. However, there was still no line in our bathroom this time - room 1281. I want to say an employee Darius was very helpful with a lady we met who couldn`t walk very well after a little bit too much alcohol, He could speak perfect English and quickly found a wheelchair and promptly took her to her room. In my opinion, he went above and beyond his duties by doing what he did. Just a suggestion - It would be amazing if you offered buses from San Jose and back to your hotel. I would visit a lot more often with my Costa Rican husband.

There was nothing that I didn`t like, everything was good.

A party family resort

I loved the food options, the size of my room and how sound proof it was. The pools are pretty big and you can swing freely without bumping with other guests.

The poor management to get the room keys, it was a little bit of a disaster and in my opinion this resort is too party based and maybe lacks options for people that only want to chill even outside the room.

Loved most of our stay

We liked the staff, the food, the swimming pools were awesome. Great drinks and very clean property.

The bed. We had a king-sized, ocean view with a balcony. We loved everything about the room EXCEPT the bed. Worn out mattress and could not get a decent night's sleep. They need to invest in new mattresses or at least foam toppers. Our bodies were literally sore all week from the bed being so uncomfortable.
